As we near the upcoming elections, what issue is most important to you?

Mission Statement PDF Print E-mail

I am running for the Senate to provide effective conservative leadership for the people of our area. I know how to solve problems and get things done.

I’m a small business man who creates jobs. I have met over 500 payrolls, I have the experience we need to create and retain good jobs for working families.

Taxes, Economy, Jobs

I will work to cut taxes to create jobs. I will fight to reform the tax code to make it simpler and more business friendly, so North Carolina can effectively compete with other states for businesses, industries and more good jobs.

Spending

North Carolina’s state budget is growing too fast and the career politicians are spending too much money.

I believe North Carolina needs a spending freeze in order to establish its budget priorities and spending limitations. As your Senator, I will fight to freeze spending and cut taxes for small businesses and working families.

Education

The Education Lottery has bee raided to balance the budget rather than spend the total dollars that had been promised to education.

Children are our investment in the future of our state. They must receive a good education to compete in today’s world. My children are both products of our public school system. Politicians much have their feet held to the fire to continue to fund and improve our schools. State dollars for schools should be distributed on a local level for more efficiency.

As you Senator, prioritizing the funding of education will be my main concern.

Honesty in Government

I know that one party democratic rule has led to corruption in Raleigh. As your Senator, I will be open, transparent and accessible to my constituents.

I will support legislation which fosters ethical behavior. I will solve problems and quit playing political games.
